The VMA represents the interests of nearly 100 North American valve and actuator manufacturers.
About us
The Valve Manufacturers Association of America represents the interests of nearly 100 North American manufacturers of valves and actuators. Collectively, members account for approximately 80% of the total industrial valve shipments out of U.S. and Canadian facilities. The North American valve industry supplies approximately 35% of worldwide valve demand, and VMA member companies employ 20,000 men and women directly in supporting jobs. VMA is the only organization exclusively serving U.S. and Canadian manufacturers of industrial valves, actuators and controls. Founded in 1938, VMA is headquartered in Washington, DC. If you make valves, actuators or controls, or supply products to valve, actuator and control manufacturers, and you have substantial manufacturing activity in the United States or Canada, you may be eligible for membership in the Valve Manufacturers Association. To learn about the benefits of membership and whether your company qualifies to join this elite group of North American companies, visit the Benefits and Qualifications sections of VMA's website at www.vma.org.

VMA remembers and honors Al Kremers for his many contributions and leadership throughout his career to the industrial valve industry. He was an active supporter of the VMA, serving as Chairman of the VMA Board from 1982-1983. Under his tenure as Chairman of the Board, Al used his leadership to support VMA’s communications team in the development of a new publication. In 1982 a new publication was launched, which is now known as VALVE Magazine. We are saddened to learn of his passing and send condolences to all at DeZURIK and throughout the industry who knew him.
DeZURIK is saddened to share the news of our long time colleague Al Kremers. Al began at DeZURIK in 1960 in the Marketing Department. He went on to lead the organization in 1975 as President. Al retired the first time in 1994 from DeZURIK and returned in 2004 to lead DeZURIK into the future that it is now. We are forever grateful for Al's leadership throughout the decades and his dedication to our community. Al Kremer's Obituary: https://bit.ly/4bNue1S

VMA congratulations Manufacturers Standardization Society (MSS) on 100 years of standards development for the industrial valve industry! Over this time, the work of MSS and their dedicated volunteers have created safety, technical, quality and other standards for a wide variety of industrial valves and fittings. The industry has benefited in countless ways over the last 100 years due to the work of MSS, which the video below highlights. Thank you and congratulations MSS - Here’s to the next 100 years!
HAPPY 100TH ANNIVERSARY! The Manufacturers Standardization Society announces the premiere of a new video, shown for the first time to an enthusiastic crowd of 200-plus at the MSS Annual Awards Gala, April 30th at the Omni Amelia Island Resort. We invite you to watch and learn how MSS came to be the first SDO (standards development organization) exclusively for the valve and fittings industry, how it has evolved over the past 100 years, and why MSS membership is good for our member companies, the volunteers who make the standardization magic happen, and for all those who believe in the production and use of quality valves and fittings. And who better to tell the MSS story than our very own members! Many thanks to the exceptional group of industry experts who were featured in this video as well as others who also contributed their time and shared their wisdom. (Cutting out so much valuable material was a painful process indeed!) Please let us know what you think about the end product, created by MSS staff and consultants in conjunction with our creative partner, Visual Impact Productions (www.visualimpactprod.com). #MSS100 #HappyAnniversary #MSSvideo #MSSmembersrock #valvestandardsdevelopment
