The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. (USBC) provides committed, visionary leadership and advocacy in the realization of economic empowerment. Through the creation of resources and initiatives, we support African American Chambers of Commerce and business organizations in their work of developing and growing Black enterprises Five Pillars of Service: Advocacy - The USBC fights for legislation that promotes small business growth, particularly policies that address the challenges of Black business owners. Access to Capital - Capital access remains the most important factor limiting the establishment, expansion and growth of Black-owned businesses. Contracting - At the USBC, our goal is to level the playing field by helping members gain access to business opportunities in the private and public sectors. Entrepreneur Training - The USBC is committed to helping Black business leaders achieve stellar performance and growth through entrepreneur and business management training. Chamber Development - The growth and development of Black chambers of commerce is a core focus of the U.S. Black Chamber.

As we celebrate July 4th, Independence Day, we reflect on the unique history and enduring contributions of Black Americans. This day symbolizes both freedom and the ongoing struggle for equality, especially for our underserved business communities. Despite progress, we face significant challenges, including recent attacks on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, which threaten our collective advancements. At USBC, we remain dedicated to advocating for economic empowerment and justice. However, the fight for true freedom and democracy requires our active participation. I urge each of you to ensure you are registered to vote and to exercise this fundamental right. Our voices are powerful tools for authorizing freedoms and shaping a more equitable society that moves the Black economic agenda forward. In observance of this Federal holiday, USBC offices will be closed on July 4th and will reopen on Friday, July 5th. Ferrero North America, in partnership with the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc., announced its 2024 Famous Amos Ingredients for Success Entrepreneurs Initiative, an annual national program in its fourth year that provides a capital award, resources and mentorship services to Black early-stage businesses. The program invites eligible start-up businesses to apply for the opportunity to receive a $50,000 award on the website https://lnkd.in/ebJxAHKT through August 4, 2024. Eligible businesses must be at minimum 90% Black-owned, in business for five years or less, and headquartered in the United States. The businesses must be owned by individuals 21 years or older. To be considered, applicants must submit a 90-120 second pitch video that explains why they should receive the $50,000 award for their business.
