TENW assisted with design efforts for the Bridle Trails Valley Creek Park, including the installation of the pedestrian crosswalk with flashing beacons, which safely connects neighbors and visitors to the park entrance. While other elements of TENW’s design work go unseen, it is an important piece of the overall user experience for outdoor spaces like parks. Did you know that TENW works on a wide range of traffic studies? From evaluating traffic impacts related to massive mixed use master plan developments to smaller tenant improvement permits, TENW covers it all! Most jurisdictions require traffic studies as part of the permitting and entitlement process. Depending on the project size and location, the scope of traffic study requirements can vary significantly.   Recently, TENW had the opportunity to assist a local small business owner prepare a traffic study for a new cooperative preschool in the city of Edmonds. The traffic report included documentation of net new peak hour trips generated and an independent transportation impact fee calculation specific to the project. With TENW’s help, the City approved the project with a reasonable and cost-effective transportation impact fee rate. TENW was grateful to be part of the team to get these much needed early learning classrooms ready for their first day of learning last month. #TENW #TransportationPlanning #TrafficStudy

The Eight is a 25-floor, Class A+ office tower in the heart of downtown Bellevue, Washington. TENW worked on many aspects of this project including but not limited to streetlight design, traffic study, signal design and traffic control plans. In addition to traditional transportation engineering standards, the project team collaborated with the City of Bellevue, Washington to prioritize pedestrians and bicyclists with modern features including buffered bike lanes and dedicated bike signals. TENW has assisted with multiple phases of the Everett Riverfront Project with parking assessments, traffic mitigation, and design work along River Front Drive. Future phases of Everett’s Riverfront development were discussed last week at public presentation and City Council unanimously voted to approve a proposal to swap out a planned cinema for a pickleball and food court. Since 2018, TENW has been involved in Amazon’s massive campus expansion in City of Bellevue, Washington for the 555 and West Main Towers.
