Between now and 2035, the 2034 Winter Games are expected to bring the state of Utah $6.6 billion in cumulative total economic impacts. The estimates, which are in 2023 dollars, include almost $3.9 billion in state GDP, over 42,000 job years of employment, and $2.5 billion in personal income. The study, conducted by the Kem C. Gardner Institute of Economic Policy, at the University of Utah was released Wednesday.
