About us

The Ryder Cup has become one of the world’s greatest sporting events. Every two years, 24 of the best players from Europe and the United States go head-to-head in match play competition. Drama, tension, incredible golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship are served in equal measure, captivating an audience of millions around the world. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founder, Samuel Ryder. The 2023 Ryder Cup will be held at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, a stadium golf course situated just half an hour’s drive from the Eternal City of Rome. The course lies within 350 acres of stunning Roman countryside, complete with a restored 11th Century castle and the rolling fairways and undulating greens will make for a true test of Europe and USA’s physical and mental skill. Ryder Cup Europe, which comprises representatives of the European Tour Group (60%), of the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland (20%) and the Confederation of Professional Golf (20%), owns the rights of the Ryder Cup when the competition is held in Europe. The European Tour Group is the Managing Partner and has prime responsibility for all matters concerning The European Team; the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland is the Founding Partner; and the Confederation of Professional Golf is responsible for the management of the Ryder Cup European Development Trust. The PGA of America owns the rights of the Ryder Cup when the competition is held in the United States. Our Worldwide Partners for the 2023 Ryder Cup are Aon, BMW, Capgemini and Rolex.
