“I came back from your Principles of Graphic Facilitation workshop energized and with a pack full of skills (and resources) and a wonderful support group. I wanted to tell you that it has been among the best workshops I have ever attended: great design, great trainer/facilitator, great materials, and very practical. In fact, I am putting my new skills into practice right now.” Sylvia Vriesendorp, Management Sciences for Health Learn more about Principles of Graphic Facilitation in our in-person course: https://bit.ly/3nGh2VB #Facilitation #GraphicFacilitation #VisualThinking

If you’re a team leader, it’s important to understand that the skills and knowledge that made you a successful individual contributor will not, by themselves, make you a successful team leader. Your success and effectiveness are based more on your ability to guide the work of others. A key question for you to consider is: Is this team leader role simply one more burden to take on, or is it a special opportunity to build my capacity for accomplishing things that I, as a single individual, could not accomplish? One of the best ways to build that capacity is to attend our Team Performance Workshop. It offers field-tested tools and best practices for team-startup activities, team interventions, and cases in which teams revisit their sense of purpose, commitment and productivity. Our Strategic Visioning™ (SV) process is an example of how to integrate graphic templates into a full process. The primary aim of such a process is to develop strategic-, visionary-thinking capability in the general system through regular rounds of visual planning. The “plan” and related graphic templates are devices to drive the development of this strategic-thinking capability. If you’d like to learn more about using our templates and integrating them into your own strategic process, register for our September course, Strategic Visioning: https://bit.ly/3m8DAge #Strategy #StrategicPlanning #StrategicVisioning

Over time, the conditions that initially set a team in motion may change. High performance is demanding. Don’t be surprised if people ask “Why continue?” This key question reminds us that team performance is an ongoing process, and must be renewed by reassessing if the work is still needed, worthwhile, and has some personal value and meaning. Renewal practices put your team back in touch with the meaning the work has for its members and renews their commitment to it. If the work is completed, renewal can be freeing, enabling members to move on to new challenges. Whether you are simply recharging to continue or are completing a process, acknowledging people’s work and celebrating their contributions helps complete key cycles and allows everyone to move on with good feeling. Download a free free best practice from our Team Leader Guide 2.0: https://lnkd.in/gwsFz9DG Teaming competency is essentially about relationship. Every meeting and video call is an opportunity to deepen people’s sense of connection, in addition to getting goal-oriented work completed. The simple truth is if people get a chance to contribute, then they come to understand each other’s thinking more appreciatively. #Teams #TeamPerformance #Teaming
