Many thanks to our colleagues at IREM Minnesota Chapter for putting together a weeklong food drive supporting Every Meal. Commercial office properties around the Twin Cities were asked to collect canned goods, noodles, granola bars, oatmeal, and other nutritional food items for kids. The tenants at Court & Case in St. Paul really stepped up to the challenge, thank you! On Thursday, all the food was successfully packed and delivered to IREM’s collection centers in Golden Valley and Edina. Every Meal is a Minnesota nonprofit that works to fight hunger in the Twin Cities community by filling the gaps to food access that children face during weekends. Suntide is excited to announce a new tenant amenity coming to the Court & Case campus: a brand new 75+ person conference center. Although Court & Case already has a conference room, tenant demand called for a larger space, more furniture options, and expanded hospitality amenities. The new conference center will be located on the 3rd floor of the Court International building. When a user first walks in, they will first enter the lounge area which will offer guest seating, high top tables, a room pod for private phone calls, hospitality area, and a mezzanine for break-out sessions. Beyond the lounge, the space will open up to the larger training area. Rows of mobile training tables can be configured to suit the needs of the presentation format. In front will be two large presentation screens, and a lectern equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Archimea Interior Design Services provided #interiordesign for this project, and the Suntide construction team will begin work later this month. The conference center is expected to be complete in Fall 2024. Update! The Suntide #construction team has made significant progress on the new amenities coming to River Park Plaza in St. Paul. The most noticeable progress is on the 7th floor, where construction is underway to build a new tenant sky lounge, rooftop patio, and conference center. “We demo’d the entire space and installed glass entries,” says Kristyn Secaur, Director of Construction Services. “The ceiling has been exposed, and we’ve applied a fresh coat of paint. We’re looking forward to getting the specialty lighting, walls, custom mural, and furniture all installed. The transformation will be incredible.” Archimea Interior Design Services, who provided interior design for this project, has been close at hand during the construction process. “The new sky lounge will provide space for informal gatherings, company celebrations, and training opportunities,” says Brenda Stock . With Minnesota temperatures expected to climb into the 90s this week and next, building owners quickly realize how energy consumption becomes a big part of their bottom line. A few fun facts about Barb: 📢 Barb Schuba serves as CFO/COO, Principal, of Suntide Commercial Realty in St. Paul, Minnesota. With a background in accounting and property management, Barb manages the company’s financials, oversees operations, and is instrumental in the growth of the company. She has been recognized as a leader in the commercial real estate industry, is a Women in Business honoree by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal (MSPBJ) and a Twin Cities Power Women honoree by BizNow. Barb is the executive officer holding Suntide’s AMO certification and a licensed Real Estate Broker in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Suntide Commercial Realty’s Barbara Schuba and Mitch Robertson were recently profiled on Suntide’s role in providing Receivership Services for bank-recovered properties. When an investor defaults on a loan for a commercial property, the courts may assign a management company, such as Suntide, to look after its day-to-day management, maintenance and leasing. “We’re a full-service, commercial real estate firm so we have property management, maintenance, construction, interior design, leasing, and accounting all under one roof,” notes Schuba. “With our full-service approach, Suntide not only stabilizes the property, but we can ultimately improve its value.” Robertson says it’s about trying to figure out why the building is distressed. “Is it high operating expenses? Is it a poor tenant mix?
