About us
To empower, educate, and engage community members to find their voice and tell a story through the performing, media, and visual arts. Story Tapestries combines the arts, language, and STEM with social-emotional approaches to support both individuals and the community and create an environment where the building of cultural capital, growth, innovation, collaboration, listening, and learning happens. Story Tapestries aims to provide equitable access to the arts as a source to develop yourself and the community to shift the culture of inclusivity and narrative of the community. Story Tapestries (ST) as a leading arts organization that serves the community through 1) Professional and Community performances in storytelling, theater, dance, spoken word, multimedia and other art forms in a variety of public spaces 2) Workshops and in-depth training programs for adults and children to develop skills in various art forms, sharing how to use the performing, visual, and literary arts to develop their voice, build up their cultural capital and increase their literacy, social-emotional and STEAM skills.
