New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy shared some of the important investments in the Fiscal Year 2025 budget that Governor Phil Murphy signed into law... including more than $34 million that will advance nine different recommendations in the Nurture NJ Maternal and Infant Health Strategic Plan, including: 🔵$23 million to expand Family Connects NJ, our statewide universal nurse home visitation program for every new mom and baby 🔵$3.2 million for the operation of our newly established Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Authority 🔵$2.9 million to become the first state in the nation to cover delivery fees for online WIC purchases 🔵$2.5 million to ensure all families have access to essential products including tampons, menstrual cups, diapers and more 🔵$2.25 million for perinatal workforce training and education 🔵$2 million to support innovative Nurture NJ initiatives 🔵$1.05 million to support Early Childhood Specialists in our Connecting NJ hubs 🔵$213,000 to develop a nurse tuition assistance program to support Family Connects NJ nurses 🔵$204,000 to enhance our efforts to obtain and assess maternal health data With investments in critical initiatives like Family Connects NJ, our universal nurse home visitation program, the FY2025 budget continues to move New Jersey forward on the path to becoming the safest, most equitable state in the nation to deliver and raise a baby. #NurtureNJ #TheCooperative #SouthJersey #HealthyMothers #HealthyBabies #HealthyPregnancies
