Last night was my final AGM as IABC Secretary/Treasurer.  In my presentation to members last night I spoke about the four year journey the Association’s been on to recover from extremely challenging years that were exacerbated by the pandemic.  This year has seen the association return to growth achieving our highest revenue in 10 years, net positive assets and the auditors have removed the ‘going concern’ (Yay!) We’ve also implemented changes to bylaws to shift the composition of the International Finance Committee to include all Regional Board Treasurers and developed next steps for a simplified financial model It's been a tough few years and while I get to share the good news as Treasurer it’s taken a huge team effort to get to where we are.   Huge thanks to my Chair Maliha Aqeel PMP, SCMP, MC.and the IEB for your support. Thanks also to Peter Finn Marlee Honcoop and the Smithbucklin team for your hardwork and support. As I said last night I could not have managed the past two years without your help. Thanks also to the Finance Committee and Organisational Design Taskforce members for volunteering so many late nights and early mornings. Finally good luck to Ed Kamrin as he takes over the Treasurer Baton. Now to enjoy the IABC World Conference in this beautiful city of Chicago.

I recently had the privilege of discussing strategies to enhance women’s participation in leadership and management during an interview with Vanessa Ogle. Reflecting on this experience was not just a professional journey but also a personal one, as it reminded me of the remarkable individuals who have shaped my path. I am deeply grateful to Johnnie Dobbs (aka Dad), Stephanie Copeland Weber, Heather Hock, and Jack Macleod for their guidance and support. Their influence, alongside countless others like Beth Surmont, FASAE, CMP-Fellow, CAE and Bill Zimmer, has been instrumental in shaping who I am today. Thank you to all who have played a part in my journey toward leadership and empowerment.
