Foothills Community Development Corporation (FCDC), a nonprofit organization in Blount County, TN, recently secured an $800,000 grant to construct four new homes in the area. The grant allows FCDC to build, sell, and reinvest the proceeds into further home construction projects. Bill Scott was a "must have" when I was organizing our directors' team for SmartBank in Auburn! Bill and I had worked together in this same capacity for 12- years at another bank here in Auburn. During that time together, I had noted that, no one is more dedicated, focused and driven than Bill when he has a task at hand, and I was positive he could help streamline our success in this new market for SmartBank.
