June 1st, 2024 is California Adopt-a-Pet Day! 🏡❤️ The California State Senate passed Senate Resolution 94 proclaiming June 1st, 2024 as California Adopt-a-Pet Day. Shelters all across CA are filling up with lovable, adoptable animals and it is our hope that the momentum of this day will not only support our shelter and shelter partners, but also find 2,024 animals their forever homes across the state. The proclamation of this very special day is made possible through our partnership with CalAnimals and the ASPCA. Thank you to Senator Mike McGuire for introducing the resolution, Senators Alvarado-Gil, Ashby, Atkins, Becker, Blakespear, Caballero, Dahle, Dodd, Durazo, Eggman, Gonzalez, Hurtado, Laird, Menjivar, Newman, Nguyen, Niello, Ochoa Bogh, Portantino, Roth, Rubio, Seyarto, Stern, Umberg, Wahab, and Wilk for co-authoring, and Senator Scott Weiner for a yes vote! #CAAdoptAPetDay 🐾

It was quite an experience – from appreciating Asian art and savoring authentic Asian teas to engaging in mindful activities like origami and journaling. Topping it off was a mesmerizing tea ceremony led by a tea master that truly embodied the spirit of togetherness.
