The new Florida Law ensures that adoption websites have improved security, safeguarding both the images and information of adoptable children. Florida leads the nation with the strongest protection for the privacy of children in foster care. The groundbreaking law is a testament of SLF’s two year journey and commitment to prioritizing Youth Voice. Thank you to Rep. Dana Trabulsy and everyone who helped make this possible. This is more than just a policy, it’s a desire from youth impacted by foster care for privacy and protection. This is Youth Voice in action. 🏛️👏

Howdy Texas! 🤠 Our Adoption Team attended the National Council for Adoption Annual Conference in Fort Worth. Along with professional training, Melissa and Danny had the opportunity to connect with child welfare professionals and catch up with our partners from Family Support Services North Florida/ Suncoast and Jockey Being Family! 💗

💕We are proud to support families along their journey to forever!💞 The Sands family, who is enrolled in our adoption program said, “Selfless Love Foundation has given us a cheerleader in our adoption journey. We can’t wait to see what our future holds.” Selfless Love currently has 162 families in our adoption program!👨👩👧👦🏡

🎉Cheers to Forever!🎉Amanda and Jeff Scott finalized 17-year-old Jack’s adoption on June 19, 2024! 👨👩👧👦🏡💞 The Scott’s said, “Thanks to Selfless Love, Heartland for Children was able to get our home study done quickly instead of needing to wait a lengthy time for resources to become available. This allowed us to be able to submit our interest in Jack and to allow us to become a family!”

🗣️This is Youth Voice in Action!👏 Today, July 1, 2024, a new law takes effect in Florida to protect children in foster care. Photos of children who are available for adoption will no longer be shared on public websites. Youth asked and SLF advocated for a secure statewide adoption portal. This law is the strongest step any state has taken to safeguarding children.🔐💖 Thank you Representative Dana Trabulsy, the youth advocates, and staff champions who worked on this issue with us over the last two years. ✨

🌎There is Unity in Diversity!🌎 Youth at Brown’s Harbor took a tour around the world during our Global Mosaic event!
