Mallikharjun Chaganti, a Senior Dev Ops Engineer at Selene Finance, migrated from South India to the United States a decade ago. Armed with a master’s degree in computer applications, Mallikharjun embarked on a path brimming with promise and opportunity. Two years ago, his career compass led him from the bustling streets of Richmond, Virginia, to the dynamic tech hub of Dallas, Texas, where he found his niche at Selene Finance.   In the melting pot of cultures that is America, Mallikharjun finds solace in his Asian Pacific Islander heritage, which serves as a compass guiding his values and aspirations. Immersed in the rich traditions that define his identity, Mallikharjun, along with his cherished circle of family and friends, upholds customs passed down through generations. Even in Dallas, Mallikharjun's community thrives, with neighbors eager to partake in the festivities and embrace the diverse cultures that make up their vibrant neighborhood. In celebrating his South Asian heritage, Mallikharjun honors his roots but also shares the depth and beauty of his heritage with those around him, fostering understanding and unity in a world that celebrates diversity.

Kim Reed, Senior Vice President, Internal Audit is of Chinese-Vietnamese descent. Her family left Vietnam by boat in late 1978 to escape communism, arriving in Hong Kong days before her sister’s birth. After living in a refugee camp, Kim’s family was sponsored to the US by a disabled Vietnam Veteran. In Wisconsin, they lived on the sponsor’s farm where she was born a short time thereafter. Kim’s family embraced the challenges of a new language, a different culture, and new skillsets to enter the workforce so that their children could have better opportunities. May is a time to celebrate the history and achievements of the AANHPI Community. It is a time to share and reflect on stories, new and old. For Kim, she’s sharing her parents’ journey to the US and reflecting on the positive influences they have instilled in her through their examples of perseverance and pride. Their story and others’ stories have collectively established the foundation that has contributed to the progress in representation, encouraged a growing network of allies, and provides the inspiration to further close gaps in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Selene Finance welcomes Joey Halligan as SVP, Portfolio Management! Joey joins Selene with 25 years' industry experience within client management, loan originations and servicing operations. Prior to joining Selene, Joey led a team at Specialized Loan Servicing (SLS), where he was responsible for the oversight and management of clients, ranging from small hedge funds to large financial institutions. Joey's extensive experience and passion for client management will play a major role in Selene Finance's continued growth.
