At Sedgwick, we are grateful to partner with organizations like the Spencer Educational Foundation that help fund education for the next generation of Risk Management & Insurance leaders. Each year, a scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student pursuing a career in Risk Management and Insurance. This scholarship was created by Sedgwick in memory of our late chief operating officer, Steve Penman, who cared deeply about Sedgwick, our colleagues, our clients and the industry. The establishment of an academic scholarship in his name is a very fitting tribute to his legacy. There is a pressing need to attract young talent to the risk management and insurance profession, and programs like the Penman Memorial Scholarship enable the foundation to pave the way for the next generation of industry leaders. This year, our recipient of the Steven E. Penman scholarship is Hallie Harrington. Congratulations, Hallie – we look forward to seeing you grow within the industry!
