    Residential Construction Purchasing Manager - South Charlotte Schap’s Sourcing is working with a leading residential developer in the build-to-rent sector, seeking a talented Purchasing Manager to join their dynamic team in the South Charlotte area. With over 20 years of experience, they offer unique flexibility and control from start to finish on all their projects. Role Overview: The Purchasing Manager will manage bids, estimates, budgets, and all related documentation for construction projects. Duties include locating suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase orders, and negotiating with suppliers. Primary Responsibilities: Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and availability. Interview vendors and visit suppliers’ facilities to learn about products and pricing. Negotiate contracts to secure the best deals. Verify purchases and recommend alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products. Interact with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain and adhere to schedules. Schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors. Authorize payments and maintain receipts, records, and inventories. Attend industry trade shows to stay current on trends and meet suppliers. Qualifications: Purchasing experience required. 3+ years in the residential construction industry. Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
