Our international experience and value added engineering services, including metallurgic and cement processes, mechanical, piping, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering, as well as in project management to the mining, cement/lime, grain/seed, and manufacturing industries, as well to infrastructure projects, allowed us to attend a growing and prominent international clientele, with emphasis on the Americas. Our project management procedures have demonstrated high effectiveness to meet clients needs, while achieving the demanding targets of their projects.     SAXUM is proud to announce the award of Engineering Services for a new unloader and transport system at Tampa Sutton Terminal, Florida, for Cemex. CEMEX is a global building materials company that provides high-quality products and reliable services with a rich history of improving the well-being of those it serves through innovative building solutions, efficiency advancements and sustainability efforts. The scope of work includes engineering and design of the following: - Unloader rails - Screw conveyor foundations - Bucket elevator - Bucket elevator tower foundations, including the anchoring to the existing silos. - Steel structure support for piping and bag filters (if needed). - Engineering verification of the existing berth for the new unloader loads engineering and design of the extension of the berth.

    Jared Weston announced as General Manager for North American Operations. With the retirement of Chris Hayman, SAXUM announces that Jared Weston will take on the role of General Manager for our North American office. He will continue to act as VP of Strategic Planning for SAXUM’s global operations. Jared has a BS in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University focused on Engineering Economics. He has over 18 years of experience in the cement and mining industries. Jared’s core competencies include developing and selling customized CapEx project solutions, leading interdisciplinary and international teams, and incorporating modern and sustainable technology into existing plants. “Since joining SAXUM in August 2023 as Director of Sales we have seen significant growth in the North American market and increased interest out of our Australian office. With Jared’s vast experience, starting in commissioning and progressing to developing capex projects of increasing size, there are few professionals who have a similar understanding of what is required to execute successful projects in these regions.     Since 2021, EXAR has contracted SAXUM to provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services with the purpose of accelerating the completion of critical project activities, both in the construction and operations stages. The services that SAXUM is developing for this project are: -Engineering: SAXUM has assigned a complete team of Senior engineers in the disciplines of structures, mechanics, piping, electrical and instrumentation, as well as draftsmen. This team is in charge of reviewing the pending engineering of the project and carrying out plant maintenance. -Procurement: Initially, SAXUM's procurement team was hired to lead the project's procurement activities, specifically in the purchasing, expediting and monitoring of workshop manufacturing, to accelerate all pending items on the route criticism of the project. Currently, the SAXUM team continues to work on-site to ensure compliance with the project objectives in the new production stage. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Desde el año 2021, EXAR ha contratado a SAXUM para proporcionar Servicios de Ingeniería, Adquisición y Gestión de la Construcción (EPCM) con el objetivo de acelerar la finalización de las actividades críticas del proyecto, tanto en la etapa de construcción como en la de operaciones.   Los servicios que SAXUM esta desarrollando para este proyecto son: -Ingeniería: SAXUM ha asignado un equipo completo de ingenieros Senior en las disciplinas de estructuras, mecánica, tuberías, eléctrica e instrumentación, así como delineantes. Este equipo está encargado de revisar la ingeniería pendiente del proyecto y realizar el mantenimiento en planta.   -Servicios de adquisición: Inicialmente, el equipo de aprovisionamiento de SAXUM fue contratado para liderar las actividades de adquisición del proyecto, específicamente en la compra, agilización y seguimiento de las fabricaciones en taller, con el objetivo de acelerar todos los elementos pendientes en la ruta crítica del proyecto. Actualmente, el equipo de SAXUM sigue trabajando in situ para asegurar el cumplimiento de los objetivos del proyecto en la nueva etapa de producción.

    We want to congratulate Chris Hayman on his well-deserved retirement! As he embarks on this new journey, we want to express our sincerest gratitude for 10 years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to SAXUM. Chris's contributions as General Manager of North America have been immeasurable, and his presence will be missed. We hope this next chapter of his life is filled with countless happy moments next to his grandkids and focusing on part time process work in the steel industry.
