We had the pleasure of hosting interns from High Tech High this spring, allowing two bright students to get a peek into all aspects of the performing arts. At the end of their time with us, our interns hosted a special presentation about their experience at Balboa Theatre for an audience of their peers! It was a joy to have them on our team, and we hope future High Tech High students join us to enrich their educational experience. #HighSchoolInternship #HighTechHigh #Nonprofit

Exciting news! 🎬 Our upcoming screening of "The Princess Bride" is sold out. On May 18, 'Westley' actor Cary Elwes will take the stage at Balboa Theatre after the screening for a moderated Q&A, telling stories from the set to an audience of over 1,200 patrons. This incredible response from our community both speaks to the enduring popularity of this film, and honors the theatre's heritage as a movie house! We're proud to continue the tradition of screening beloved films at Balboa Theatre, and can't wait to welcome everyone for an evening filled with nostalgia and joy.
