Salas O'Brien worked with Gensler and RD OLSON MFG providing acoustic consulting for the SilverRock Resort which includes two luxury hotels, and a 70,000 square foot conference center. We conducted an environmental noise study to assess existing noise levels and analyze the impact of emergency generator noise on surrounding sensitive spaces and guest rooms. We provided recommendations for wall and floor/ceiling construction in each building to enhance sound and impact isolation in noise-sensitive areas. Collaborating with the architectural and interior design teams, we integrated absorptive products and finishes into ceilings and walls in larger gathering areas to reduce their liveliness. Additionally, we offered solutions to minimize mechanical noise and vibration impacts on noise-sensitive rooms to create a welcoming and relaxing ambiance. #EngineeredForImpact Link to page: https://lnkd.in/gHnTKhuS
