While Huntington's disease (HD) has been referred to as a "movement disorder", research shows cognitive symptoms, like forgetfulness and impaired judgement, may impact an individual's quality-of-life years before physical symptoms of HD may appear. For caregivers like Katie Jackson, who lost her husband to HD 14 years after his diagnosis, it can be a painful, frustrating experience to see a loved one's mental abilities deteriorate as the disease progresses. "It's really hard to look at the person that could work, drive, pick up the children from school, and see it all lost, and they just have no clue it's gone." To all the caregivers and advocates committed to the HD community, thank you. Sage is proud to support organizations like Help 4 HD that provide resources for the HD community to help those impacted by this devastating condition. Heinrich S.: "Pride month is a time to show my support, something I'm proud to do at a company that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion!" Erin L.: "It's a dedicated time to recognize and honor all of the people who fought for equality and sacrificed so much." Four years ago, I joined Sage with the mission to build a digital team from the ground up, driven by a deeply personal loss after my father's brief battle with Alzheimer's disease. Inspired by Sage's commitment to brain health, I felt a profound motivation to innovate and help create a brighter future for patients and their families – families like mine. Today, as I share the news of being named to Constellation Research, Inc.’s #BT150 list, I am filled with hope and pride. In my time as a #Sagean, we have transformed the organization's technology landscape, creating a unified team ready to deliver exceptional digital advancements. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Constellation Research for this incredible recognition and to my outstanding team for your unwavering dedication and hard work. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive brain disorder and is the most common cause of dementia. Though there is no cure, an early diagnosis can provide a range of benefits for the individuals who are diagnosed. This #AlzheimersAwarenessMonth, we're grateful for organizations like the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA) who provide education and resources that support individuals and families impacted by AD. If you have a question about #Alzheimersdisease and would like to speak to a licensed social worker specifically trained in dementia care, AFA's Helpline is open seven days a week from 9AM-9PM ET. Call 866-232-8484 or visit their website for more information: https://bit.ly/4aQPNNT

Following the birth of her son, Liz Friedman began experiencing symptoms of #postpartumdepression (PPD) and knew she needed help. After discovering that no local support group for new mothers existed, Liz was determined to take matters into her own hands and start one herself. "Through GPS Group Peer Support, we're ensuring every mother can access the social support they need – the support I needed all those years ago." We continue to be inspired by those who are on the frontlines of maternal mental health care and are the true agents of change. Thank you, Liz and the entire GPS Group Peer Support team, for your dedicated efforts in providing community and care. To learn more about their work, visit: https://bit.ly/3VwoiEE
