Apple has announced they're bringing "Categories" to the Mail app later this year. Where have we seen this before? Oh yes, Gmail tabs... in 2013. Just relax... The people who use Categories will still want to get promotional email. Just in the corresponding place. Gmail tabs proved this isn't a bad thing. It's not a bad thing now. Subscribers go to the Promotions tab when they're in a shopping mindset.
