After our teammate Andy Lyons faced a family emergency during a 2023 trip to Grenada, he teamed up with Ali (Allison) Swanson, PA-C, a fellow Roper St. Francis Healthcare teammate and leader for Partners 4 Global Health, to assist the country that had shown his family so much compassion. This week, they watched as a 40-foot shipping container full of donated medical supplies from Roper St. Francis Healthcare arrived on the hurricane-battered island. This timely donation and support for the community reinforced our mission of healing all people with compassion, faith, and excellence. Thank you to The Post and Courier for highlighting our selfless teammates! https://bit.ly/3xWWLDv

The cardiovascular team at Roper St. Francis Healthcare successfully implanted their first CardioMEMS heart failure monitor! ❤️ The CardioMEMS system is a small sensor placed in the pulmonary artery through a minimally invasive procedure. It continuously monitors patients with heart disease, alerting care teams to any worsening conditions. The device enables providers to proactively adjust a patient’s home medications, often without needing an appointment, which helps reduce hospitalizations. #CardioMEMS #Cardiovascular #HeartDisease
