Congratulations to the 2024 graduates from the Rochester General College of Health Careers and the Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing! 🎓 More than 60 future nurses crossed the stage last night to receive their degree in either Practical Nursing or Associate of Applied Sciences (AAS) to become registered nurses through hands-on training and instruction from clinical experts. These new grads will surely go on to serve the community well - and we are proud to say that nearly all will be starting or continuing to serve our patients at Rochester Regional Health. Best wishes to all the graduates and congrats again on a job well done!

Hello! We're Rochester Regional Health. 👋 Since our first days as an integrated health system in 2014, and with roots in the communities we serve dating all the way back to 1864, we've weathered our fair share of storms - from lake-effect blizzards to pandemics, and everything in between. In just 10 years, we've grown from an organization of 12,000 to more than 20,000. We've gone from serving the Greater Rochester area to serving patients across Batavia, the Southern Tier, Newark and Clifton Springs, and all the way north to St. Lawrence County. We've partnered, educated, employed, connected and healed across suburban, urban, and rural communities alike. And now, it's time that our shared identity reflect where we've been, who we are today, and who we hope to be in the future. And wherever that future takes us, for whatever our communities and patients need us for, We're Here for It. Learn more ⬇ https://roc.health/here

2024 is poised to be a transformative year for Rochester Regional Health. But to know where we are going, we need to acknowledge where we’ve been – and since our formation in 2014, we’ve been through a LOT together. We’ve always been a strong, hardworking team made up of individuals who choose to uplift humanity through care for our community and help others lead healthy, fulfilling lives. And when we look back at our earliest days and every day since, we can see the cornerstones of who we are and what we value. As we continue to grow in our reach, our services, and our mission, we invite you to take a look back through the years with us to see how we became who we are today - before we share who we will continue to be in the many years to come. 💙

Last month, we were honored to host our 2024 gala, "Uplifting Tomorrow's Care," and are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate and support our mission. 🙏 🌸 A heartfelt thank you goes out to the exceptional staff, board members, and volunteers who worked so hard to make this event possible - and to the Rochester Regional Health Foundations team, for ensuring that every dollar raised is put to good use, directly benefiting the communities and patients we serve. Together, we truly are uplifting the future of healthcare and our community. 💙

Thank you again to Rochester Institute of Technology for hosting our leadership summit last week! Looking forward to many more collaborations and opportunities for partnership to come 💙 🧡

RIT was pleased to serve as host for Rochester Regional Health’s Leadership Summit — “Uplift Each Other” — at the Gordon Field House on June 7. “RIT and Rochester Regional Health have had a formal partnership since 2008. It’s very exciting to see more than 900 of our RRH colleagues from all over New York state here on campus,” said Cathy Shannon, executive director of the RIT-Rochester Regional Health Alliance. RIT and RRH collaborate in clinical education, joint services and creating innovative products and processes to solve complex health care challenges. While more programs are in the exploration phase, today RRH offers clinical hours and training for RIT students in several programs, including physician assistant, diagnostic medical sonography, and medical illustration. RRH also works with students in the Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition. “Our alliance is all about helping each partner keep pace with the changes we see every day in health care. And now we are expanding our work to do just that proactively,” said Shannon. The RRH leaders also toured RIT’s new SHED (Student Hall for Exploration and Development).

We had a great time at the American Heart Association Heart Walk & Run in Rochester yesterday! Thanks to all the supporters, survivors, and volunteers - including our incredible team members from the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute and Dr. Scott Feitell, Chair for this year's event - for showing up and making this one of the best years yet. We are proud to support this event and look forward to a community (and a world) free from heart disease. ❤️ 💪

Supporting community health through injury prevention 🧠 Yesterday, we teamed up with the City of Rochester to distribute over 100 helmets for kids at local rec centers, to help our area's children learn how to bike and skate in a safe way this summer. Through this incredible effort, spearheaded by our Golisano Restorative Neurology & Rehabilitation team, we were able to collect dozens of helmets at drop boxes hosted by local businesses, and raise over $1,000 to go toward the purchase of more helmets. A huge thank you goes out to the Golisano Restorative Neuro & Rehab team, as well as the generous businesses and donors who helped to make this a safer summer for so many of our community's kids this year. 💙

THANK YOU 🙏 💙 Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to every individual who contributed to our “Because Care Matters” fundraising campaign over the past nine years. Thanks to the dedicated support of our 36,977 generous donors, we raised over $300 million for essential programs and services across all of the communities we serve, including our state-of-the-art Sands-Constellation Center for Critical Care at RGH, improved technology at our birthing centers, construction of the Healthy Living Campus in Batavia, improved facilities for staff, and so much more. As we celebrate the culmination of this campaign, we’d like to extend our deepest appreciation to each and every one of our dedicated community members who made this possible, especially Robert S. Sands, Campaign Chair. Learn more about our fundraising and its impact on our patients and community at https://rrhgive.org.

Last week, we were honored to host our first "Women in Healthcare" event for the 7th and 8th graders of the Young Women's College Prep Charter School/Foundation! The event explored the unique challenges and opportunities for women, especially women of color, in the healthcare industry. Students heard from professionals currently working in nursing, administration, communications, and recruiting, who shared their insights, experiences, and career pathways - all with the goal of inspiring the next generation of healthcare workers and community leaders. Thanks to all who volunteered their time and expertise to make this event a great one - we look forward to more opportunities like this to come!
