Meet Micah Gastrock, one of our 2024 summer interns. Current Arizona State University student, Micah is entering his senior year of studying Engineering Management and has joined us to gain more experience in the role of a Field Engineer. He shares that for the internship he is driven by the opportunity to contribute to a better future, acquire practical expertise, and engage in a field pivotal to fostering sustainable communities. Micah initially chose the construction industry, specifically within water reclamation, due to his profound passion for infrastructure and sustainable development. Upon the completion of his degree, he plans to pursue a career path that aligns with these passions along with his hope for the future of construction. Micah explains that so far in the internship he has thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie and mentorship of his leaders who provide continuous support and knowledge while still having fun in their roles. We are extremely excited to continue to see Micah’s progress throughout the summer and know he will accomplish great things in the future! #RMCI #SelfPerform #SummerIntern #wastewater #waterreclamation #construction #fieldengineer #sustainability

Our Director of Engineering, Jeanne Jensen, P.E., had the opportunity to present as part of the SURI Speaker Series at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University where she discussed her career journey, different job experiences, and the many possibilities for engineers. Speaking with grad students, she highlighted the importance of finding a role you are passionate about while further developing your skills in each avenue needed for success. She honed in on the importance of communicating and explaining your capabilities and efforts and how that is crucial in the workforce. Describing what her engineering career looks like in the water/wastewater industry, the many elements of a project, and its process, Jeanne opened the door to new opportunities and shined a light on what our company is about. #RMCI #SelfPerform #WasteWater #WaterTreatment #GeneralContractor #ASU #engineering

As our work on the Anthony Wastewater Treatment Plant progresses, our team continues to showcase our self-perform capabilities. Constructing several facilities and structures, installing different electrical, data, and control systems, demolishing existing sand sludge beds, and replacing older equipment are among some of the things we have executed on this site. Our crew is collaborating with approximately 20+ subcontractors and multiple vendors to ensure a safe, efficient, and quality completion. #RMCI #SelfPerformConstruction #WasteWater #WaterTreatment #GeneralContractor #AZ #NM

The people who make up our company are the leading cause of our success across the many states and landscapes we are in. Their desire to work hard and enjoy the work they do is what sets the tone for our culture and what ultimately sets us apart as an organization. #RMCI #SelfPerform #WasteWater #WaterTreatment #Whatsyourwhy #GeneralContractor

This year's AZ Water Association conference served as an opportunity to recognize amazing volunteers, get competitive spirits riled up with signature operator-focused competitions (like Hydrant Hysteria), and connect as friends and colleagues. Our Director of Engineering, Jeanne Jensen, P.E., served as AZ Water’s 97th President and recounts her time served this past year. “It was an honor and an incredible experience to be the first woman of color and the youngest president in our long history. This is about more than just a career, it’s a legacy of impact - something I am proud to tell my kids I am a part of, and a commitment each day to making our members and volunteers feel appreciated by seeing how their engagement matters.” Jeanne is the conference planning chair for next year’s 98th AZ Water Conference. We support her in the hopes to break the attendance record again (this year had 3,000 attendees!) and are excited with the continued growth as a community of water professionals focused on building a vibrant Arizona through safe, resilient, and reliable water. #RMCI #SelfPerform #WasteWater #WaterTreatment #AZWater #GeneralContractor
