Owen is an alum of Western Washington University where he studied Electrical Engineering. After graduation, Owen got his start in the industry designing utility-scale PV systems. He is eager to use those skills and experiences as he starts his next chapter as a Revamper. Owen is driven by a desire to lead a career that positively impacts the world, and he can't think of a better way than to be a part of the renewable energy transition. Meet the 2024 Summer Intern Cohort! These five early-career professionals have been hard at work supporting our engineering teams by completing meaningful summer projects and gaining real-world experience to complement their academic studies. Each year, Revamp interns have the opportunity to impact the energy transition by supporting our PV & BESS and Substation projects. Our goal is to provide the foundational experience that will allow them to each have the maximum impact possible in making our future a greener, brighter place throughout their careers. 🎆 Happy 4th of July! 🎇   As we celebrate Independence Day, let's also celebrate the strides the United States has made towards energy independence through renewable energy.     Did you know? ⚡Renewable energy now accounts for a significant portion of the U.S. energy mix, generating over 20% of the nation's electricity in 2023. 🌞 The U.S. has become a global leader in solar energy. The country boasts over 200 gigawatts of installed solar capacity, enough to power more than 36 million homes. 🌬 Wind energy is also on the rise, with wind farms producing enough electricity to power 39 million American homes annually. 🔋 Energy storage solutions are enhancing the reliability of renewable energy, with significant investments being made in battery storage systems. In 2023, 3 GW of new storage systems were deployed alongside solar in the utility-scale market, more than double the capacity deployed in 2022. On this Independence Day, let's take a moment to appreciate our country's commitment to a sustainable future. The growth in renewable energy not only reduces our carbon footprint but also strengthens our energy security and supports economic development. Rob's 13+ year career in renewable energy projects has varied from roles as a foreman, to field construction management, to project management for a manufacturer of next-gen solar pile foundations. The Revamp team has designed almost 14% of all utility-scale solar projects installed in the US over the past five years. That's over 11 GW of the 82 GW installed across America, and we couldn't be more proud of that achievement.   In 2023 alone, our dedicated team designed 15% of all utility-scale solar installed projects in the US, amounting to 4.7 GW of the 31 GW total utility-scale solar projects. Additionally, we contributed to over 11% of all solar installations, with our 4.7 GW making up a substantial portion of the 41 GW total installed last year.   Our unwavering commitment to sustainable and innovative engineering solutions continues to drive our efforts to advance the clean energy sector.
