Starting with take-back may not be the usual path for a lifestyle product company. However, at RTV ReturnToVendor since we are a circular ingredient platform, we love to emphasize take-back. We believe companies should take responsibility for the products they put out in the world. One of our three pillars is responsible take-back. In our many discussions with brands across a broad spectrum of companies we tell the story of how the idea of RTV ReturnToVendor was born from the concept of reverse engineering how products should be made by thinking of end of use at the design phase. That is how we locked in on monomaterial design as a path to circularity. The image you see is from our sorting facility. What you will notice is an amalgam of clothing and textiles, with all types of blends and accessories that make them both difficult and expensive to recycle. RTV ReturnToVendor can handle all the products we put out in the world as part of our built in take back but also can help any brand who would like to put there stamp on take back with any material. We will customize a program that works best for your company. If you, or anyone you know has needs with clothing reuse and recycling we are here to help. DM us here or email info@rtv.earth

There are so many lessons to learn from Kiel, the first zero-waste city in Germany. We love when we see idealistic ideas coming to life. Those lessons can be borrowed and grow through a ripple effect. We plan on having that impact on the fashion industry's transformation to a more circular one with RTV ReturnToVendor #circularityispossiblenow

Circular Economist | Motivational Speaker | "The Man with the Plan"

Germany's 1st Net Zero City 🚮 🛑 Cut waste by 70%👇🏽 Great milestone for Kiel, the coastal city in northern Germany. ➡️ It's become the 1st Zero Waste Certified City in the country. ➡️ The ambition: Move from 4.800 to 50 kg of waste per person per year. As a circular economist, I'm thrilled to share remarkable lessons - to inspire more action: 1️⃣ Action, not fairytales. 107 concrete measures for reducing waste are the core of the work: increasing separate collection, and promoting a circular economy. The city's unwavering commitment to sustainability and climate neutrality has been the driving force behind this initiative. 2️⃣ Households pay for the amount of landfill waste generated. One of Kiel's standout achievements is the "Zero Waste Household Challenge," which inspired over 400 participants and 170 households to adopt waste-free lifestyles. By actively involving citizens and providing practical tips, the city has fostered a sense of ownership and responsibility towards a circular future. 3️⃣ "1st Packaging free store": Circular Businesses lead the way. Kiel has recognised the pivotal role of businesses in the transition to a circular economy. Initiatives like 'Unverpackt', Germany's first packaging-free store, which integrates cultural and creative industries into the circular economy, exemplify the city's commitment to supporting innovative circular business models. 4️⃣ Ban for disposables at all city events. It's a stepping stone, a road of continuous improvements. The city will undergo re-certification as 'zero waste city' every 3 years, providing an opportunity to assess its performance and implement additional measures to achieve higher certification levels. Love all cities to move that way! #circulareconomy #zerowaste Credit: WEF/City of Kiel

Love this video shared by Olimpia Santella It powerfully illustrates the dirty nature of our consumptive habits but in a beautiful way.

♻ Credit: Vinted
