Do you even lift bro? PART 2 Construction is a hard business. No doubt about it. Anything worth doing should be hard. This is something that I was born into, and have a passion for that is indescribable. I remember my Dad bringing me to his jobsites when I was a kid and the wonder of it all still resides within me to this day. Those early early early early AM visits.... is what gave me my passion for this industry. We have all types and all types are desperately needed for this industry to survive and thrive. A.I. will not build or construct what we need. Our artisan craftsmen do that. Day in and Day out. They are the ones that make magic happen. I am eternally grateful to GOD that I was able to show my children what I do. Why I don't get home until dark sometimes. Why I get stressed sometimes. We work hard for others. We serve each other and the community around us. We sacrifice sleepless nights and weekends to meet deadlines and schedules. Why? Because we can and we are here. Ain't nothing to it but to get to it and do it. Construction is hard. I for one wouldn't have it any other way. The men and women we work with across multiple disciplines are what makes it all worth it. We work for each other. I would like to give a very special shout out to #Mammoet, our Reeves Young Field Staff, Management Staff, Safety Team and MARTA. While there are many many others that have been essential to this feat of #AWESOMENESS, there just isn't enough time or space to list them all. We successfully demolished an entire bridge and set the new bridge in one weekend. There was not a single scratch on a finger to be had. Everyone walked away feeling accomplished and very tired. But we all went home to our families. This is what construction is about. I am very proud to call myself a construction worker. I hope we can get the next generation to be as excited about this industry as I am. I may not be the #ChiefDirtNerd.... But I am a Construction Nerd. I hope you all like the pictures! Not all of them are great... Those are mine...lol. The ones that look absolutely #AWESOME came from our very own Mark Brocker, who graciously spent this sleepless weekend with us capturing some very amazing shots of the bridge demo and installation. Please give him a congratulations and a shout out! This guy is talented and dedicated. For those not in construction, This single weekend bridge demo and installation took years to plan and schedule. The effort from everyone that participated was monumental, absolutely critical and extremely necessary. This analogy should help with the non construction folks having a hard time understanding. Imagine combining the entire squads of all the SEC football teams (each with their own coach's) onto one field to work together to make one goal.... Construction folks do this daily. Hug a construction worker near you. We do a lot that people don't see but enjoy on a daily basis. #ReevesYoung #MARTA #AWESOME

We're partial to GREEN! As a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Certified building, the Cartersville Public Safety Complex and Fire Station No. 4 is a multi-level public safety complex and fire station that includes administration offices, crime labs, evidence storage, booking area, police dispatch, a fitness center with locker room, and a three-bay fire station. It achieves LEED certification by utilizing a sustainable site design, water and energy efficiency, and having 95% of its construction waste recycled. #whyRY #histoRY

The City of Sandy Springs and Reeves Young celebrated the exciting ribbon cutting of Sandy Springs Fire Station 5, located on Spalding Drive and Mount Vernon Corner in the growing city of Sandy Springs. The new, 10,912 square-foot, two-story facility is extremely unique as it is designed to blend in with the residential character of the neighborhood. #celebratoRY
