In July, we're shining the spotlight on Red Shoe Society member Liz Fallon! Q: Why did you join the Red Shoe Society? A: I was looking for volunteer opportunities in St. Louis and really connected with the mission of RMHC. If there was some small way I could help, I wanted to be a part of that community and give back. Q: What do you do for work? A: I'm the Communications and Engagement Manager for a McDonald's Owner and Operator. Q: How do you like to spend your free time? A: I'm in grad school, so I don't have a lot of free time, but when I do I love spending time in Forest Park or trying a new restaurant. I moved back to St. Louis in 2022 after living away for over ten years, so I also am grateful to be able to spend more time with my family. Q: What and where is your favorite place in St. Louis? RMHC St. Louis is excited to partner once again with 105.7 The Point for Donny Fandango’s 28-hour Radiothon, taking place on Thursday, June 27, and Friday, June 28 at Hubbard Radio in Creve Coeur.We are looking for two (2) volunteers to fill each of the following shifts. Volunteers will be asked to answer the phone, fill out request forms and write down credit card information (the environment can be loud if all volunteers are on the phone at the same time). Thursday, June 27 • 9:30a-12:30p • 12:15p-3:30p • 3:15p – 6:30p Friday, June 28 • 5:45a-10a • 9:45a- 2p Please email Meredith at msiegfried by Monday, June 24th, which date/time you are available, along with your cell phone number. She will confirm your participation and send event day information early next week.

In May, we're shining the spotlight on Red Shoe Society member Katie Schnable! Q: When did you become a member of the Red Shoe Society? A: In August of 2023! Q: Why did you join the Red Shoe Society? A: I was looking for more ways to be involved in the community, and I have always held a place in my heart for children and families. I saw a friend post about the Red Shoe Society, so I went to check it out and loved what I saw. I want to help families in our community feel welcome, loved, and valued, and Red Shoe Society is the definition of that. Q: What do you do for work? A: I am the Franchise Owner of Floor Coverings International. Q: How do you like to spend your free time? A: My husband and I love to travel. We spend a lot of time outside hiking, biking, and running. We have a 2-year-old golden retriever who loves to spend time at the lake with us and go on walks. I love to spend time with friends and family, and I love to read. Q: What and where is your favorite place in St. Louis? A: Blues hockey is my favorite, and Enterprise Center would be my favorite place. The vibes and electricity in that place are unreal when you are at a game or even a concert. Q: Is there anything else you’d like us to know about you? A: I got to meet a handful of members at the quarterly meeting, and it was amazing! I love meeting new people, so feel free to say hey if we have not met yet. I also love to help and support in any way I can!
