We are really excited to finally share Heron with not only Miami, but the world. This labor of love between (re)boot, Gary Lockwood, Inter Miami CF, and AKQA Bloom, has reimagined hundreds of pieces of discarded soccer equipment, most of which was utilized by Inter Miami’s first team players. Heron reflects the power of sport and design when used for the greater good. As the world’s first upcycled team mascot, Heron is a true example of what can happen when leagues, clubs, corporations, and designers come together to innovate and pave the way for a more sustainable future, and a healthier planet. At (re)boot, we stand for pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
Proud to be #1 on this list, especially the day after presenting (re)boot at the World Environment Day by United Nations. This isn’t just Inter Miami’s first mascot. It’s a powerful symbol of our commitment to sustainability, a message that resonates beyond Inter Miami, reaching the entire sports industry. Thank you to (re)boot and Inter Miami CF
