Happy Thursday everyone!! We are happy to share that each year, California Assemblymembers and State Senators are invited to honor a California Nonprofit of the Year for their district. It’s a way for nonprofit honorees to strengthen their relationships with legislators, and vice versa. Rebekah Children’s Services is honored and grateful to have been selected by Speaker of the Assembly, Robert Rivas, for District 29!! It is an incredible honor to be included among 100 other nonprofits in CA recognized for making a difference in their communities. We are excited to be named as the "Nonprofit of the Year" among the Central Coast Honorees and look forward to receiving this recognition on June 5th along with the other Nonprofits! Thank you for this honor Robert Rivas and CalNonprofits. Today, we'd like to once again highlight our recent renovation collaboration with Rebekah Children's Services! Rebekah Children's Services (RCS) offers a full continuum of family-centered services including prevention, mental health, foster care and adoption, job training, a monthly food bank program, educational services (and now, transitional housing) to promote the healthy development of children and families. Led by our Corporate Champion, Prometheus Real Estate Group and supported by our great vendors including Advanced Facility Solutions, ProFloors, Fashion Furniture Rental, GD Painting, Medallion Landscape Management, Inc., APD and so many generous supporters, HIF renovated five housing units that will support at-risk families as they rebuild their lives and move toward independence. This project leveraged over $250,000 of in-kind support for a full market value of over $300,000!
