Qualis Corporation has proudly supported the United States Air Force Test Center at the 96 Test Wing, Eglin Air Force Base located in Florida for the past ~18 years on various contracts. As part of this on-going work, Qualis was asked to develop a high-performance computing environment as a first-of-a-kind capability to support the massive amounts of test data. 💻    As a result of this request, The High-Performance Computing (HPC) Team was created to develop a combined hardware and software simulation solution to the growing costs of range testing.  What started out as a small team has more than tripled in size since inception. The HPC Team has designed a high-performance computing environment where simulations of munitions performance can be evaluated at a significantly lower cost than live testing.  The United States Department of Defense is then able to use the millions of dollars in development and test savings to increase equipment purchases. This type of simulation evaluates numerous performance characteristics which allows scientists and engineers to observe and document the results.  📚 The specific simulation that is performed can be used in other scientific communities such as medical research, meteorological research, and architectural design.  🏆 The HPC Team has won 2 flight level awards and 2 directorate level awards in the last 3 years.  In addition, with the expertise and diligence of our amazing Qualis employee team members, along with government oversite and guidance – the system has recently received its Authority to Operate.      Qualis is proud to be part of these award-winning accomplishments and critical assets for the Air Force! At Qualis, he's been instrumental in both the software and business development teams, leveraging his diverse skill set. David chose Qualis for the valuable experience and connections. ✈️ A passionate traveler, David has explored countries like Germany, Japan, and Jamaica, with upcoming study abroad plans in Portugal and Japan.
