The pursuit of something greater has always been in our DNA. The 1940s saw a tremendous acceleration in technological advancements at Toledo Hospital, with the purchase of an electrocardiograph machine, mobile X-ray machine for the orthopaedic department, and a fluoroscopy machine. An Institute of Medical Research building also opened on campus, with staff focusing on leukemia research.
