Welcome to the new era of Polar Bear, where each bite is filled with gastronomic delights and cherished memories.
Since its inception in 1952, the Polar Bear in Preston, Idaho, has been a cherished local hotspot. Initially offering only hot dogs and beverages, the menu expanded over time, evolving into a culinary haven.
With the addition of a grill, fryer, and drink dispenser, the Polar Bear introduced mouthwatering burgers in 1956, which swiftly became the town’s beloved delicacy.
Then, in 1975, a young Steve joined his father’s ranks, immersing himself in the family business. Through dedication and passion, Steve and his wife, Dixie, eventually took the reins, nurturing the Polar Bear into an iconic establishment.
Though the establishment closed in 2005, Preston native Sawyer Hemsley, cofounder and CBO of Crumbl Cookies, is now the driving force behind its revival. He is renaming the iconic drive-in to Polar Bear Eats, with a mission to craft unforgettable experiences and deliver the irresistible taste of nostalgia.
