  • The National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Bike MS, which encompasses the Texas MS 150 and a variety of other charity rides across the country, traces its roots to 1980, when the first MS 150 was held in Minnesota. Today, it is the largest fundraising cycling series in the world. Participants in this year’s Texas MS 150 have already raised nearly $7 million to fight multiple sclerosis, with an overall fundraising goal of $9.425 million. This year, the 2024 Texas MS150 is celebrating its 40th anniversary as 13,000+ cyclists have already raised millions of dollars for the fight against multiple sclerosis. The event continues to be the biggest fundraiser of its kind in the county, as it helps improve and lengthen the lives of those living with MS. This year, the Texas MS150 had cyclists from Texas, 30 other states and 10 countries as part of the ride. Taking two days to complete, it spanned over 150 miles from Houston and Austin, and all routes finished in College Station, TX, at the A&M College Football Field. We can’t forget to mention the 3,500 volunteers and countless spectators along the route that help make this happen. This year, PCIA had five team members successfully complete the entire cycling journey, raising money for MS patients. This year’s riders were: Kam Lo, Kai Liu, Chuan Chen, Alex An and Eddie Wong. Congratulations for completing the ride and raising money for such a great cause. As they finished, they were telling others that day one was INFIINTELY better than last year. Winds were much more favorable. Day two, they had tough headwinds and the weather conditions were less than favorable, specially the last 10 miles when the winds were pretty grueling. Much harder than last year. We tip our hats off to all the riders, and especially our very own, for accomplishing such a wonderful and selfless act of kindness. Thank you for all that you do!
