And - just like that - PETERMAYER's new brand positioning is out in the world, at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the ad industry's leading stage. You cannot tell that I was shaking like a leaf, but even after decades of presenting, walking my agency into its next phase of life was a moment of intense overdrive. Everyone I've had the pleasure of talking with has sparked to the idea that advertising could improve lives. A livelihood that hangs around the Gallup Most Admired Professions list around congressmen and car salesmen, that's certainly not the stereotypical sentiment. But we need products and services in our lives. Brands have the opportunity to make those lives joy-filled, and the right communications opens the gates to those emotions. In a time when people feel the weight of the world is on their shoulders, our agency is committed to creating moments of joy via the brands in our lives, and making every day just a bit better. Thankful to our partners at ADWEEK and She Runs It, to Deepak Chopra MD (official), who put everyone into a serene meditative state before I spoke.
