An emotional reunion recently unfolded at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center as Tom Buck, a flight paramedic with Life Lion, was surprised by 6-year-old Izabella Rivera and her family at the Life Lion hangar. When Izabella was just six months old, Tom's quick actions during a critical flight from Reading to Hershey saved her life after she suffered multiple heart attacks and aspirated upon arrival. Today, Izabella continues her journey at Penn State Health Children's Hospital for a congenital heart condition. The Rivera family surprised "Grandpa Tom" and his crew with a batch of chocolate chip cookies, spreading joy on their way to the annual Hershey Symphony concert.
