Last week we participated in the 2024 EuCNC & 6G Summit, sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society. We presented alongside the Horizon BeGreen Project, which focuses on significantly reducing energy consumption. We were one of the few companies showcasing real-time PHY development, achieving a remarkable milestone in power reduction. Our demonstration featured a DU running on an arm-based chipset with a new LDPC encoder/decoder, achieving nearly 40% power savings compared to a legacy benchmark DU. This is an intermediate achievement, and the next step within the Be Green project will be implementing this on a GPU to achieve further power consumption reductions.
