  • 🎉 Join us in celebrating a decade of redefining strength and determination in the medical field! 🎉 As we commemorate our 10th-anniversary milestone, we are thrilled to invite you on our journey towards greater inclusivity and empowerment. Today, during #TheGreatGive, we're rallying support for our cause. Donations will help us expand crucial initiatives such as: ✅ Paid Internships for Students: Providing stipends, housing, and meals for aspiring medical professionals. ✅ Training Programs: Offering free certifications like BLS/CPR and other essential skills development opportunities. ✅ Scholarships: Assisting with professional school applications, MCAT/GRE/DAT exam expenses, and more. What exactly is The Great Give, you ask? It's the fifteenth major community-wide giving event supporting nonprofits in Greater New Haven. Spearheaded by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, The Great Give boosts awareness and funds for organizations like ours. With over $24 million raised since its inception, this event has left an indelible mark on our community. Your support today can make a world of difference. Together, let's empower the next generation of diverse medical professionals and pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future in healthcare. On April 28th, 2023 Minorities in Medicine and our partners at Yale New Haven Health, Yale Department of Neurosurgery and 100 BLACK MEN OF STAMFORD INC sponsored a hands-on training program providing an intensive snapshot of the inner workings of the emergency department for Young Black Men in our community. It was a pleasure to support students from the Village Initiative Project (@vipcollegeprepct), Future Five (@futurefive) , and the UCONN Minorities in Medicine Chapter (@uconnminoritiesinmedicine). #minoritiesinmedicine #equity #bettertogether All photos posted with consent — Founded in 2014, Minorities in Medicine 501(c)(3) makes it our mission to redefine the strength and determination of minorities in medicine through collaboration and palpable diversity.
