The Channel Islands YMCA celebrated its 137th Annual Meeting at the Santa Barbara University Club on June 10, with over 80 attendees from Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties. The event commenced with an invocation from retiring Association Board Member Brian Gough. Highlights included the YMCA Golden Triangle of Distinguished Service Awards, honoring volunteers Sarah Abrams, Lisa Gonzalez, Tom Nevins, Marsha Roberson, and Marcus Kocmur. Talley Farms received the Community Excellence Award. CEO Margo Byrne praised the YMCA's significant impacts, including teaching 450 children to swim, providing over 5,000 scholarships, and supporting 100 cancer survivors. The event also celebrated staff achievements and innovative programming. #channelislandsymca #Community #YMCA
