    On the 20th of June, O-I BJC Vietnam participated in “Responsib’all Day 2024” organized by Pernod Ricard Vietnam. The inspiring sustainability event promotes circularity by minimising waste & preserving natural resources at every step of the product lifecycle through the 5 key principles: rethink, reduce, reuse, recycle, respect. More than 100 employees from Pernod Ricard attended the event.  O-I BJC Vietnam was thrilled to be a guest speaker at the event, sharing the benefits of glass and emphasizing the importance of glass recycling.     Consumers today are more informed about sustainability efforts, driving them to spend more money on items with sustainable credentials. This coincides with the shift of sustainability practices being embraced as a lifestyle by consumers. In one study, ✔ 77% of companies agreed that being sustainable has led to greater consumer loyalty. ✔ 69% of companies notice a rise in their brand value. ✔ Almost two thirds of brands and retailers surveyed saw higher total revenues as a result of their sustainability initiatives.     At O-I, we believe sustainability is about collaboration. Through our Glass Ambassador program, O-I BJC Vietnam coordinated with AEON to host a glass recycling event in celebration of World Environment Day at AEON Mall Binh Duong, Ho Chi Min City, Viet Nam from May 31 to June 5. The event was an excellent blend of various generations. Attendees enjoyed recycling activities such as upcycling, glass painting, and exchanging empty used glass bottles for gifts including: ✔ For 3 to 14 bottles, attendees received a nutritious collagen bird's nest drink. ✔ For 15 bottles or more, attendees received exchange a beautiful canvas tote bag. As part of Glass Ambassador campaign, O-I BJC Vietnam presented to the public on topics ranging from how glass is made, that glass is recyclable, and how to recycle glass. Glass is a packaging option you can feel good about. It’s virtually inert and doesn’t interact with the food and beverages inside. *Food and beverages packaged in glass mean better taste and better quality. Glass: 1.       Is tasteless and odourless: Inert and airtight, glass is chemically inactive, ensuring that food products keep their taste, aroma, and flavour. 2.       Doesn't deteriorate, corrode, stain or fade. There aren’t any chemical reactions or contamination of what’s packaged inside of glass.. Glass doesn’t leach chemicals into its contents. 3.      Protects food from oxygen, light and heat.     “O-I BJC Vietnam has significantly contributed to the actualization of our vision in Knorr fish sauce premium bottle shape design. It is a challenging process whereas technical constraint is high and Unilever Vietnam team has limited experience in glass bottle development. We appreciate your collaborative and innovative mindset to share knowledge and overcome the obstacles. In the future, we look forward to collaborating with O-I BJC on many more projects that could contribute to our mission, creating the Taste of Authenticity.” Ms. Nguyen Thi Vu Thao, Brand Manager of Unilever. The O-I BJC Vietnam team helped Unilever drive a premium Knorr fish sauce in a diamond-shaped bottle.
