It was truly an honor to meet the journalists, the legendary Debra Roberts and present her with a proclamation on behalf of Mayor Eric Adams. ❤️ Ms. Roberts volunteered her time to speak with students from NYC Public Schools Career & Technical Education (CTE) during NYC Reads Literacy Series managed by Melissa Cisco, Esq. Great event as always!

🏆 🌟 We're inspired by and proud of all the NYCPS CTE students that took part in the Annual Citywide Graphic Arts Competition this year! 🌟🏆 #cte #nyccte #nycps #careerandtechnicaleducation #careerexploration #graphicarts #graphicartscompetition
On Friday, 5/31/24, the Annual Citywide Graphic Arts Competition took place at CUNY City Tech. Students from CTE programs across NYCPS competed in: digital photography, graphic design, web site design, packaging design, digital illustration, film making, video production, and t-shirt design. Students and their teachers were excited - the energy of this event was inspiring and invigorating! Thanks to all participating schools - and big shout-out to the professors and industry leaders who volunteered as judges. The Media and Design Commission president and members, including Jack Powers, Tami Forman, Dan Wong (among others) who sponsored and organized this event showed exactly how postsecondary and industry partners can contribute to our students’ CTE experiences in ways that could not happen without them! Thank you Jack Powers, and all other volunteers! #cte #nyccte #nycps #careerandtechnicaleducation #careerexploration #graphicarts
