Last week was 7 Hills Church "Heart The City" week! This is a time when they give back to the community by serving other organizations with volunteer work. Our Boone County Head Start center was blessed to be chosen. The heat didn't stop this dynamic group from lots of rock laying and mulch spreading. #community #HeadStartProud

Alexandria, Boone County, Eastside, Falmouth, and Newport Head Start locations received their Family Friendly certifications at the annual Prichard Committee Groundswell Summit in Owensboro, KY. The 5 steps needed to receive this certification are pass the self-assessment, complete modules, develop a Family Engagement Action Team, go through an evaluation process, and submit an application. We are super excited about this accomplishment and proud of our Head Start staff! #HeadStartProud

Here's to proving that parenthood and higher education can indeed go hand in hand. We also want to congratulate children who call LGSH home, marking their own milestone graduations.
