We are thrilled to share the experiences of our talented 2024 North American Plastics sales interns, Alexander Schmidt and Treyton Cockerill, at the Laird Plastics Austin location, where General Manager Garret Hohman leads the team. Alex Schmidt shared, "My internship with Laird has been a great experience so far. As a sales intern, I have learned and gained great experiences. Austin has also treated me very well with great food and activities. I have gotten a good taste of what Austin has to offer during my personal time. To sum it up, I've been blown away with the internship as well as the city." Treyton Cockerill added, "The internship has been great so far. I am getting a lot of sales experience, and my GM and everyone else at the office are teaching me a lot. I really like being in Austin; I like trying all the different restaurants and bars here for fun. I went on a boat for the 4th with some friends, which was fun. I also like floating down the river with friends." The dynamic city of Austin, known for its vibrant culture and culinary delights, and our diverse and successful location, has certainly made a positive impact on our interns. We're proud to offer an enriching environment where they can grow both professionally and personally. Cheers to a successful internship journey!

Kennady Findlay's North American Plastics Sales Internship Experience: Mid-Summer Update "I'm thrilled to share my incredible learning experience so far at Laird Plastics Denver! Thanks to the supportive leadership team, I've gained hands-on experience, visited customers, and developed my sales skills. I'm constantly expanding my knowledge by researching new industries we can serve, our diverse fabrication abilities – including 5-axis routing – and the specific products our customers need. While I know there's always more to learn, Laird Plastics Denver has dramatically boosted my confidence and expertise in the plastics industry." "One of the most rewarding aspects of my internship has been the opportunity to build relationships with our clients. I've enjoyed the challenge of cold calling, both face-to-face and over the phone, to connect with new customers. There's a unique satisfaction in visiting existing customers and expressing our appreciation for their continued business. Witnessing the transformation of plastic into our client's products on the warehouse floor has been a fascinating experience!" "This experience has sparked my interest in industries like print and sign shops, frame shops, and museums. I'm proud to say I've aided in bringing in several new customers who are now loyal partners, contributing directly to our sales growth. This success is a testament to the supportive team environment here. My colleagues are always happy to answer my questions, offer guidance for self-improvement, and collaborate on projects – all of which have been instrumental in my development." We're so proud of Kennady's progress and can't wait to see what the rest of the summer holds for her! #NorthAmericanPlastics #2024Internship #LairdPlastics #LairdDenver #TheStudentExperience #SalesInternship

The North American Plastics 2024 Internship onboarding and product training trip to valued supplier PLASKOLITE's headquarters in Columbus, Ohio wraps up today after a successful, fun, and learning-filled week! The hospitality from the PLASKOLITE team allowed our intern group to be immersed in a company overview and in-depth sales training workshop with Vice President Talent Acquisition & Development Amy Venezia, setting them up for success as they head back to their locations to continue their internships. Plaskolite's Product Learning & Training Manager Rick Horton also led the group through a high-level product overview, and he and a group of esteemed subject matter experts facilitated group learning activities, a facility tour, and a scavenger hunt around Columbus to identify products in action. The group made strides in their learning and understanding of materials within the performance plastics industry, and they now can't help but notice these plastics being used everywhere they go! The intern group also enjoyed some nice dinners around Columbus, and even a night of bowling fun while networking with members of the Plaskolite team! A big thanks to Senior Employee Development Specialist Kelly Richards for bringing these talented interns together and making this training visit possible, and to the entire #Plaskolite team for investing in the learning of this group of rising plastics rockstars! #NorthAmericanPlastics #InvestingInTheFuture #FutureSalesProfessionals #Training #SupplierTraining #SupplierPartnership #NAPInterns
