We've added a new offering to our quarterly workshops: Unlawful Harassment Prevention Training for Managers. This required training for managers is much more engaging than pre-recorded alternatives. Have you met our founder and president, Julie Chendes, SPHR? She will keep you entertained. Please be in touch to register. Discounted rates when you sign up for more than one workshop.

It’s critical for business owners to stay updated on new California employment laws, especially when the laws exist to keep people safe from potential workplace violence. A new California Labor Law takes effect on July 1st, 2024, and is an enhanced version of the current law with added protections for all people in the workplace. Starting July 1st, 2024, your organization is required to write and implement a customized Workplace Violence Prevention Plan, which outlines how you should handle any incidents of violence in the workplace. For the well-being of your employees and business, we're helping you understand this update in our new blog. Juneteenth is not the day enslaved people were freed. The Proclamation of Emancipation was signed in 1863. Two years later, June 19th, 1865 marks the day in Texas that enslaved people in Texas finally found out they were freed. #Juneteenth was made a federal holiday in 2021. Happy Juneteenth!

We start our staff meetings with an icebreaker-type question. Some months ago we asked, "What's a song that gets you to dance?". There was so much good music we had to make a playlist--and an early summer Friday feels like a good time to share it with you all. It's nothing official, but it's fun! We wish everyone a great weekend! https://lnkd.in/geKasrnW
