We hosted the Reindustrialize conference by Atomic Industries this week at Newlab Detroit ( located at Michigan Central ) and the energy was palpable! Nearly 1,000 attendees came from across the U.S. for a week of interactive programming. During the event, our own Garrett Winther and Alex Prather took the stage, sharing their POV on the pivotal role that Newlab and the U.S. can play in building impactful, sustainable solutions. Newlab startups pitched in the lighting rounds, displayed their technology on the floor, and Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II put out an inspiring call for attendees to build their next company in Michigan. Port of Monroe may not be the largest port in the US, but its leaders are extremely forward-thinking, and now its the first container terminal in Michigan and the most state-of-the-art port on the Great Lakes.
