✈️ The second stop on the New York Philharmonic’s 2024 tour to China was Nanjing, and the Philharmonic packed quite a bit into less than 48 hours there. 🎻 A quartet of musicians gave a pop-up concert at the Golden Eagle International Shopping Center, performing works by Fanny Mendelssohn, Florence Price, and Nina Shekhar, while others took the opportunity to stretch, recharge, and take in the fabulous views of the city. The Orchestra’s sold-out concert on June 30 — at the impressive Jiangsu Grand Theatre — featured works by Mozart and Copland, conducted by Music Director Jaap van Zweden.
