Dr. Martin Irvine, Executive Director of the NAVSEA Warfare Centers, recently delivered the keynote address at the 35th Symposium on Naval Hydrodynamics in Nantes, France. His presentation: Charting the Course: Advancing Naval Hydrodynamics Research from 1896 to 2024 and Beyond. The Symposium is co-sponsored by the U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR) and Centrale Nantes, a premier French engineering school. As a global forum for networking and sharing advancements in cutting edge science and technology since its inception in 1956, this biennial symposium has focused on research and development in fluid mechanics as they relate to naval hydrodynamics. Dr. Irvine leads more than 29,000 scientists, engineers, technicians, and support personnel performing more than $14 billion of research, development, test, and evaluation for America’s Indispensable Navy. #navseawarfarecenters #trustedtechnicalexperts #thenavysinnovationengine #NAVSEA
