Many steps took place so this step could take place. From spacecraft design to planning for launch (#OTD in 1969), landing, and the return to Earth, we were there along the way for #Apollo11 and are continuing the journey with #Artemis. https://lnkd.in/guTWRtE4.

Happy 65th to the NASA "meatball"! We're taking at least some of the credit for that round and recognizable insignia. The red vector that represents aeronautics was based on an airplane wing design tested in our wind tunnels. Learn more about the logo: https://lnkd.in/gjB-Th2Z

NASA Ames Research Center reposted this
Scientists at NASA's Ames Research Center have leveraged machine learning and quantum computing to develop a model that can detect flight operation anomalies on aircraft, potentially avoiding serious future incidents. In a recent project, the researchers developed a new model that uses deep learning; integrating this model with quantum computing can potentially improve and accelerate machine learning through the statistical sampling of energy-based distributions. Commercial drone deliveries could soon become standard throughout the U.S. thanks to a NASA-developed air traffic deconfliction software. NASA, along with members of the FAA and commercial drone engineers, recently gathered in the Dallas area to view multiple delivery drones operating in a shared airspace beyond visual line of sight using an industry-developed, NASA-originated uncrewed aircraft system traffic management system.
