This is such a great program that our very own Assistant News Director Caitlyn Kuntz pioneered earlier this year. Our reporters, producers and anchors get so much out of these discussions and we can't wait to continue to expand the program in the coming months!
This morning at NBC5 we held the latest in our series of Wednesday Workshops! Executive Producers Molly O. and Shelby Lincoln lead the presentation on determining the lead and conversational writing tips. These sessions are designed to be brief (less than an hour) and focus on different topics to enhance our storytelling on all platforms. Other sessions have included incorporating real voices in our newscasts and success with strong headlines on digital. Taking suggestions for our next monthly meeting!!

Thanks to Marissa Vigevani, Andrew Grautski and Collette Mathsen for hosting students from Georgia Elementary and Middle School at our studio on Friday! Marissa helped facilitate today's visit through our popular Weather at Your School program, and Studio Operations Director Collette helped the students learn all about television production and how they can work on TV one day during their visit. It was a really special opportunity to see young people getting engaged with both STEM and television production. Great job to everyone, and we hope you enjoyed your time !
