The Michigan Public Health Institute Center for Health Equity Practice (CHEP) held an in-person meeting with our community partners to celebrate the end of a two year grant, Bright Spot. The goal of the Bright Spot Initiative was to increase enrollment in the CDC National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) among Black individuals in Metro Detroit. In the two years of the program, the community partners which consists of Henry Ford, National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, Ascension, Corewell East and Trinity Health have enrolled over 1300 participants.
